North Cape May was established in 1798 and is the largest of all the communities in the Lower Township Jersey Cape Area.   North Cape May is well-known for it's horseshoe crab migration every year.  The Cape May Lewes Ferry  is located in North Cape May and crosses Delaware Bay several times a day, connecting the Cape May penninsula with the town of Lewes, Delaware. The ferry trip takes an hour and ten minutes each way.  For passengers without cars, shuttle buses from the ferry terminals take you into the town of Cape May on the New Jersey side and into the towns of Lewes and Rehoboth Beach, on the Delaware side.  The Rehoboth Beach shuttle also makes stops at the Rehoboth Outlet Mall featrung over 150 outlet stores.  Be sure to vist the Cape May Winery & Vinyard for a tasting and tour.  Mark your calendar for the First Annual Cape May Wine Festival on Oct. 6&7 at the Cape May Lewes Ferry.
